The Sea

Old Swede Pondering the Sea

So, a long trip to an island on the Baltic Sea brightened my weekend. It was so beautiful there, even though the sun was misleading. Still somewhat chilly, but enough sun to make you think it was safe to swim. And the still waters of the harbor-type area were great to reflect the slowly moving clouds across their mirroring surfaces. One of those places you see and lose your train of thought, a place you want to explain but cannot find the words.

This has been my first post in quite a while, but typing has not been my top priority. Working on a thesis here has caused me to type about 20 pages in the past week or so. It has caused me to stop writing also, mainly because of an overload of unwanted subject writing/reading. But, I will attempt to get back in the routine I was before. Helping me to release some of these commentaries floating around for only me to know.

As of today I have about 48 days or so until I get to embrace the US again. I have had fun here, but the urge to come back has begun its growth into an overwhelming longing for familiarity. I want to come back to the life I have left behind. Granted, it will have been for only five months, but that is five months from a world I was becoming very content with. It is hard to realize the extent of what I have right now. Pieces I never saw being complete are falling into place, and my path is becoming more clear. So, when I do return I will once again return to figuring out what it is that I will become. Except this time I will have a few more pieces of unexpected experiences to throw into the mix.
